Weddings
Firstly, congratulations on your engagement! We absolutely LOVE to play at wedding receptions, and have a long track record of providing quality entertainment for wedding parties across the North-East of Scotland. Also, as classical musicians in our own right, we can also provide music for your wedding ceremony, drinks reception and wedding breakfast. Choosing your entertainment for your evening reception can be one of the hardest when planning your wedding. We cater for all parts of your evening reception; from the cutting of the cake, all the way through until the final song. We play your first dance as an original through our DJ software, so that you can enjoy the exact version of the song that you love the most. That being said, we have been known to play instrumental versions of pop songs - so if that's something you're interested in, do not hesitate to ask. Following your first dance, we usually kick off the ceilidh and play until the buffet. After the buffet, we normally ceilidh more and then finish off the evening with a disco. However, it's your wedding so anything goes; we're happy to be entirely flexible to suit your own requirements.
We were also highly commended in the 2019 'Book Entertainment' Awards 'Wedding Band of the Year' category and we are finalists in the Top Tier Awards 2023 in the 'Evening Entertainer' category.
Corporate events
If you are looking for a ceilidh band to play at a client's dinner, Burns Night celebration, Christmas night out or just a great staff night out, then Reel of Fortune are ideal.
We are able to play anything from full length ceilidhs, to playing background music whilst your guests mingle or during welcome drinks.
University balls and school proms
We absolutely love playing for students! We have had experience over the years playing at many student balls, and have worked with a number of academies both in Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire. Along with these, we have also played for many of the University of Aberdeen societies; including the Law and MedSoc balls with 500+ guests at each event. We offer discounted rates for students, so feel free to enquire for your next social ball.
Charity events
Being in a band and helping raise money for such important charities is great! We have experience in playing for many charities, both large and small and treat all clients with the same professional service. When we are not booked up for weddings, we do make ourselves available for charity fundraisers and are happy to help you advertise your event on our social media channels.
