Reel of Fortune

  Ceilidh Band

We have experience playing at weddings, corporate ceilidhs, festivals, recitals and dinner entertainment. Along with playing the music, we call every dance with humour and enthusiasm, so beginners have no excuse for not dancing!

In many of our sets, we include a "ceilidh cover" so you should not be surprised if you find yourself dancing to a song by Avicii or even Abba!

We can also provide a DJ set with 1000's of tracks to play with, everything from the 60's to present chart.

We have our own equipment which includes a full PA system, mixing desk, microphones and lighting.  All of our equipment is P.A.T. certified and the certificate can be shown upon request.

A typical ceilidh will include:

Gay Gordons

Canadian Barn Dance

Military Two Step

Hooligans Jig

The Circassian Circle

Dashing White Sergeant

Flying Scotsman

Virgina Reel

Cumberland Square Eight

Strip The Willow

Orcadian Strip the Willow

Sometimes we like to introduce less well known dances such as:

Scottish Polka

Highland Schottische

Swedish Masquerade

Eightsome Reel

Riverside Jig

The Cartwheel Jig

Knights, Horses and Cavaliers

Various Waltzes

We are always adding new traditional music to our repertoire.

We love to throw some more popular songs into our sets; we like to call these ceilidh covers!
